My advice is to take a small step forward from your 12 hr experiences. Do a 24 hr overnight trip tuna trip out of Port A next fall. The boat runs are much shorter than the 36-60 hr trips. Just a little about the "Tasline All White Series" braided lines. Although I developed these lines, with Tasline Technologies in NewZealind, the learning curve in braid manufacture interested me me more than the sales. If spooled up loosely Braid will dig into itself on the reel spool when line is peeled off from a fish, binding up and possible lost fishy. Apply a good coat or 2 of carbuna wax to bare spool.
