Nov 4, 2023 · XC40 Recharge faults. Just wondering if anyone else has had these faults on their XC40R. 1. Car stops without warning, multiple warning lights come on. Car is immobilised and "frozen". I'm just realizing this, but i think the XC40 does a brake "wipe". I think its been there for awhile and I'm just now noticing it, but at low speeds after the care has been sitting for awhile, it sounds like its braking with the pads and not OPD/motors. I've heard the rubbing sound many times before, but never put 2 and 2 together. The installs were reasonably straight forward. The rear required a little work to snake through a rubber harness to the rear lift gate. The C40 is very similar, the front is identical, but the rear is a bit more of a pain in the butt.
