It celebrates the Bicentennial, the 200 year period between the founding of the U.S. in 1776 to 1976 when the rifle was built. The coin-finished receiver is engraved on both sides of the receiver: an eagle on the left side of the receiver, and the number “76” surrounded by 13 stars on the right side.
