The casting and everything is the same, but the k24 head doesn't flow as well as the k20 series heads. The max flow for the k24 is like 27x cfm's and the k20 is like 3xx cfm's. The tsx head does have the same 3 lobe vtec though so that's good.

K24A2 heads ports are not even close to the K20Z3s ports! Z3 ports are like the K20A2s ports which are significantly larger than the K24A2s. The Early K24A2s head was designed with smaller ports to help in the torque making! K20z3 head Now if you look at the head and imagine it was flipped off of the head, you will see where the coolant passage lines up with the angled port, but the hole is a small circle, the small port is close to the other hole.
