I would say a tad slimmer than the Wilson combat. To gain a slight grip increase and width you can add inner bike tire tubing as a sleeve that you slip on. It's a very soft shooter. My TXG module is a large with the grip weight and magwell installed. The AXG is very ergonomic and a real pleasure to shoot, but even with the same slide on it as the TXG, there is more snap to it. It's not bad to shoot, but there is more felt recoil. If you put a carry slide on it it's not bad as a large carry gun.
Bro I am here to help you. I have mayfield grips. I have had the medium x compact, large x compact, medium x carry, m1811, Axg, and p80. The x compact grips have a very thick grip but narrow front to back grip. It feels weird as well because the bottom of the x compact cuts in word and feels weird.
